Keltfest 2016

The first festival of the season, for me. The first festival of the year of Vana.

In case you didn't know, I'm now a regular over in the team of photographers for the social media channels for Vana Events. So, every time Vana has a festival, we're rallied up to see if we can make it to take photos for the weekend (or longer, depending on the festival).

Keltfest is, like all of the events of Vana, a festival aimed at families, children and pretty much everyone. They are events which are fun no matter your age.

The vibes and energy that have filled the weekend of Keltfest were very positive, once again. This is something I once experienced first the first time I visited Castlefest (the main festival of Vana).
For the Canadians out there, think Shambhala, but music varying from folk to more metal-ish.
The all-around good vibes that go around the festival grounds during these weekends are so awesome that I kept coming back for it, so now ending up as a photographer of them.

The festival is filled with good music, market stalls, sun (luckily!), reenactment living, reenactment fights, good beer, and lots and lots of happy people (they are the best part, if you ask me!).

I adore taking photos of all the bands performing, the magical light on the festival grounds at golden hour and everything in between, but I absolutely love taking photos of people who are just having the best time (which shows :)). It's something that really keeps me going. Seeing lots of smiles, from ear to ear.

Keltfest was an awesome kick-off of the season, if you ask me. Took lots of photos, had great fun with the team of photographers and other volunteers and had some awesome encounters with happy visitors. All in all, I'm happy. It was a good weekend.

Next up: Castlefest 2016. :)
